McPherson lands Tidwell
Senior lineman David Tidwell will be playing football for McPherson College in the fall.

“I’m planning on going to McPherson College,” senior David Tidwell said. Tidwell signed with McPherson on National Signing Day, Feb. 1, which is when most high school football recruits tell the nation where they will spend the next few years playing football. Tidwell had narrowed his list down to two options, Tabor College in Hillsboro, and Macpherson. “Calling Tabor’s coach to tell him I wasn’t going to be playing for his team was the toughest phone call I’ve ever had to make,” Tidwell said. “I feel that McPherson is the best choice for me, both in sports and academics, and I’m really looking forward to playing there in the fall,” Tidwell said.
