Football Coach Jason Swift has great expectations the football team. Bringing back 15 lettermen from last season, they look to get farther than they did last season, after the grueling loss to Gardner Edgerton in the second round of the state playoffs.
“This Senior Class has two playoff wins to their names going into the season. This is big from the aspect of experiencing success and setting high expectations,” Coach Swift Said. So even though the team only had four wins, they won the ones that mattered. With that taste of success from the two playoff wins, this team will be hungry for more this season.
“This year we have a lot of good players. We have put a lot of effort into the offseason, and I think if we can start the season on a good note, we have a good chance to really turn some heads our way,” senior lineman David Tidwell said.
What the Senior Class lacks in depth can be made up for by the great work ethic they possess. The players sound positive and are looking forward to showing everything that they can do this season.
“There are a bunch of good football players; we just need to put them in a role where they can create success for our team,” Coach Swift said. “We have many unanswered questions, like who will be our running back or other positions but we are excited for the opportunity to compete this fall.”

Way to go Joe, I knew you could do it, keep up the good work. Looking forward to reading more of your news report.
Love you,
Grandma
